Pretty Britty Boutique

The boutique was a huge success and so much fun! All the hard work advertising paid off and we sold and sold and sold cute stuff for two days. I wanted to thank all the sellers and also my family for all of their help, Shelly and I couldn't have done it without you! I can't wait until next year! Dad, Mom and Jer stayed up late helping me set up and put tags on my 300 bows. Jeremy made yummy cinnamon rolls and my mother-in-law Terry was there with two of the Fat sisters Jojo and Myrna selling their cook books not to mention their to die for gingersnaps! Well It has been way to long since I last posted, but I wanted to talk about my little Katie Pie! On July 10th she turned one. KATE at ONE:

My little Kate has brought such a sweet spirit of peace into our home and lives since the day she was born. I can tell she loved her savior and has brought his love into our lives. I am so grateful for my beautiful little doll. She gets more and more fun everyday. We love you Katie Pie!

I am so excited to be a seller on Etsy! I have had many friends, family members and strangers ask me to make them bows for their little girls or to teach them how. I have decided to set up a shop on Etsy and share my designs with everyone. I love to be creative and making bows and fabric flowers are just a few of my favorites! Our little alarm clock went off at 5:00 am and so we started our fourth of July bright and early.  SInce Jer and I were up we went with Mom, Ams, DJ and baby Kate to set up the big shade and chairs that would reserve our spot in front of Asia Gardens for the  big parade in Show Low.  We then headed down to the little Show Low park where Dad was making gravy for the biscuit and gravy breakfast.  It was yummy!  Next we got all the little ones dressed  with the fourth of July bows Aunt Necia made and they all looked so patriotic.  The best part of the parade was either the belly dancers, or the guy on the bobcat doing wheelies and tricks.( He must of had a lot of down time at work, but it was impressive!) Samara had 4 dum dum suckers, 1 bag of cookies, 1 ottter pop, some tootsie rolls and a box of nerds by the time we got home for lunch.  I think she loves the fourth as much as her mom.  She was so sticky and covered in candy drool. Oh and I forgot to mention the hot little red candy she spit out after she said "HOT Mommy Hot! "After naps we went to visit Grandpa Pew and I think he loved the big slice of jello cake I left him.  Then we headed down to Aunt Ginna's and Uncle Farrell's for a yummy BBQ, a sweet game of volley ball and some spectacular fire works. ( my favorite)  I don't think I can wait a whole year for another super fun volley ball game.   Our team rocked!!  Chase, Jer, Caden, Brenda, Me, and Trevor.  Go Team!!   I love and am so thankful for the blessing of freedom we have in this wonderful country.  I always get chills when the flag goes by during the parade and everyone stands and puts their hand over their heart taking a moment to remember what it stands for.   We are so lucky to be able to worship and celebrate how we want.   I am so grateful for all who have fought for our country and I love the patriotism  I feel when I am in a small town to celebrate this great day.  It is my favorite Holiday!

We just got back from such a sweet weekend with my family.  On Friday we all packed up the truck and Tahoe and headed to Black River.  If you have never been there it is on the reservation about 2 and a half hours from Show Low.  We drove about 17 miles on this little dirt road that gets really bumpy and steep as it winds it's way up the mountain and then back down to the river.  We pulled into a beautiful spot with a sand bank and two rope swings tied to a huge tree over the perfect swimming hole.  The water was refreshing and the rapids were fun!  Samara and Kate jumped in with Jer and I and we rafted and swam around for a while.  Kate was splashing everyone and Samara was loving every minute in the water.  Granna and Granddad, Aunt Bev, Uncle Tom, Ryan, Aunt Ginna, Uncle Farrell's family and ours were there.  Ethan was the first in the water of course, so that means Amber was second. I don't think those two ever got out all day.  It was so peaceful and relaxing.  Jer's raft went flat as we went down these wimpy shallow rapids but mine stayed afloat.  The guys caught tons and tons of fish and the babies ate tons and tons of rocks and dirt.  The most exciting part of our trip was the ride home.  It had rained a couple times throughout the day and left the road really muddy and slippery.  As we started down the Tahoe began to slip every now and then and Kara and I started feeling a little sick to our stomachs.  I kept thinking what will I do if we slip off the edge with five little ones 3 and under in the car.  Needless to say we got through it with a few, a lot of prayers.  Jer did great!!  An exciting end to an exciting day!!  Can't wait till next year!!

Jer and I took the girls to the ZOO on Saturday and we had a blast!  Samara loves animals especially the monkey's.  They have a super fun new water park area there and she got soaking wet and didn't want to leave.  Good for hot summer days.  The first weekend of every month you can get into the zoo free if you show them your Bank of America card.  Fun Times!

Girls Getaway!!

I just got back from one of the most fun 3 days ever!!  We had a girls getaway that started Wed. afternoon and ended Saturday afternoon.  Mom, Ams, Me, Kara, Shelly, Brendz, Necia, baby Lanie, and baby Kyralynn were there.  We stayed at the Scottsdale Links resort and had a scrapbookin good time.  We bought WAY to much food at Costco and holed up in our rooms laughing, snacking, watching Emma, Star Dust, You've got mail, The wedding singer, and Austrailla while scrapbooking our fantastic lives away.  Our first night on the town we ate at Oreganos and it was delish!  We all had a little bite of everything ordered.  You know we are close when we share our food!! Ha Ha!  After Oregano's we went shopping and I wast so excited  to find some cute new clothes at Nordstrom's Rack.  Mom found me this cute green and white striped shirt I love.  Thanks Mom!!  She spoiled us all rotten the whole time.  This whole getaway was Mom inspired.  She lost 40 pounds since October 08 and this was a fun way to CELEBRATE!!  We decided it is going to be an annual thing!!  Thanks to all our hubbies and mother-in-laws who watched our little ones.  You ROCK!!  We ate at Cheescake factory on Friday night where we each ordered a little slice of heaven to go  so we had something to help us stay up all night scrapping.  It was sooooo tasty!! Necia was so cute when we got there, she was like a little kid in a candy shop.  Now we all know her favorite dessert.  After dinner we went shopping at an outdoor mall called Kierland Kommons.  Amber found a sassy dress and Mom spoiled us and bought us all matching skirts at Ann Taylor Loft.  We just had such a good time getting closer, and the spirit was so sweet the entire time. I am so greatfull for such sisters and sisters-in-laws and for such an amazing Mom who is such a peacemaker and makes us all fell so  good all the time.  Can't wait till next year!!  Amber and I tied with 22 and a half pages scrapped.  I'll beat you next year.

 Don't they look HOT in those STRETCHY PANTS!  I can't believe the things our bodies will do.  I am amazed by anyone who can ride a bike for 74 miles.  The tour de Phoenix was this past Saturday and Jer, my Dad, Josh my bro-in-law, and my brother Chet woke up at 5:00 am, scarfed down some bananas, cliff bars and other fueling foods and headed for the starting line.  They all did awesome and finished with Silver medals, oh but Chet is a stud and got Gold! Go Chet!  I have to admit I was impressed with Jer, especially because he trained so hard to get ready for the race.  Ha Ha, the first time he rode his bike in several months was to work and home the Monday before the race.  He did Fantastic along with everyone else!!  Enjoy the Pics!

Baby Bums!

Mom's jacuzzi bathtub when you add a little shampoo becomes the BEST place ever for three little two yearolds.  Samara, Ethan, and Marissa were so silly and cute when they took a bath together.  Bubbles are super Fun, but  it was even more fun laughing and snapping pictures of the chaos  with  my sisters, Mom and Granna.  I can't wait to blow the bum shot up and hang it in my bathroom.  Good Times!

Mickey Hair!!

So I had to write this down before I forgot to.  Yesterday as I was getting the girls ready for church Jer thought Kate's hair would look so cute in two little piggy tails up on top of her head, so I did them and put two cute little bows in.   Samara came in the room and said "Mom! Kate- Mickey hair!!  We all laughed really hard and thought it was so cute.  She then said she wanted Mickey hair also.  I guess she has been watching to much Mickey mouse clubhouse.  Ha Ha  She is talking so much and everyday Jer and I crack up at some of the  things she says and the way she is learning to put words together.

Our little Family! I can't believe how fast time goes.  Kate is already 7 months old and Samara will be 2 in April.  Craziness!!! I wish I could freeze time and keep them babies forever.
